I like movies that are at least similar to the book, or story, that they are based on. The truest film adaptation of any book is To Kill a Mockingbird. Both are excellent. Books that are better than the movie include The DaVinci Code, All Quiet On the Western Front, IT, The Shining, Pet Sematary, Carrie, any most anything else by Stephen King**. Movie that are better than the book include Rocky, Forrest Gump, and Shawshank Redemption ** (a rare Stephen King entry).
